This Privacy Policy explains how Luminous Inc. ("we", "us", "our", or the "Service Provider") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Tiny Dance Tracker mobile application (the "Application" or "App"). The Application is provided as a free service "as is".
We act as the data controller for personal data processed through the Application within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR"), the UK GDPR, and equivalent laws in the EEA and Switzerland.
By using the Application, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1.Who we are
Service Provider / Data Controller: Luminous Inc.
Contact email: luminous.inc18@gmail.com
Application: Tiny Dance Tracker (Android)
2.Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide to us
When you register and use the Application, we may collect:
Account information (such as display name and phone number) provided through authentication and onboarding
Pregnancy-related data you choose to track (kick counts, kick sessions, pregnancy week, due date, milestones)
Connections you create (mothers you follow, viewers who follow your pregnancy)
Notification preferences and other settings
Registration is required to use core features of the Application.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you use the Application, we and our third-party service providers may automatically collect:
Device information (model, operating system, language, country)
Unique device identifiers
IP address (used for coarse location and fraud prevention)
Application usage data (features used, sessions, error reports)
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the Application. Advertising revenue helps us cover the operating costs of running the service (cloud infrastructure, push notifications, authentication).
6.1 Data collected by AdMob and its advertising partners
AdMob and its partners may collect and process:
Advertising ID (AAID)
IP address (used for approximate location and fraud prevention)
Device information (model, OS version, language, country)
App usage signals (ad views, clicks, time spent)
Approximate location derived from IP
6.2 Purpose of advertising data processing
Serving advertisements (personalized or non-personalized)
Measuring ad performance
Frequency capping (so you do not see the same ad too often)
Fraud and abuse prevention
6.3 Personalized vs. non-personalized advertising
Personalized ads use information about your device and activity to show ads more relevant to you. These require your consent in the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland.
Non-personalized ads are based only on contextual information, such as the content of the App and approximate location at country level.
6.4 Consent for users in the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland
If you are located in the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland, before any advertisements are shown, we will present you with a consent dialog implemented using Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) and based on the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF v2.2). The dialog lets you:
Accept personalized advertising
Reject personalized advertising (you may then see non-personalized ads, or no ads, depending on your choices)
Manage which advertising vendors may process your data
You can change your choice at any time via Settings → Privacy options within the Application.
6.5 Other ways to control advertising
Reset or delete your advertising ID: On your Android device, go to Settings → Google → Ads and select "Delete advertising ID" or "Reset advertising ID".
Remove Ads (upcoming): A future version of the Application will offer a "Remove Ads" in-app purchase that disables advertising entirely. When available, this option will appear in the App's Settings.
6.6 Target audience
The Application is not directed at children. Our AdMob settings are configured accordingly.
7.International data transfers
The Application uses Google Firebase and Google AdMob, both operated by Google LLC, which may process and store your data outside your country of residence — including in the United States.
Where data is transferred from the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland to a country not deemed to provide an adequate level of data protection, the transfer is safeguarded by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) entered into between Google and its customers, as described in Google's data processing terms.
8.Data retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:
Account and pregnancy data: Retained while your account is active. If you request account deletion, your data is permanently deleted within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.
Automatically collected data: Retained for up to 24 months, after which it may be retained in aggregated or anonymized form.
Advertising identifiers and ad-related signals: Retained according to Google AdMob's policies, typically only as long as necessary for fraud prevention, measurement, and frequency capping.
To request deletion of your data, contact us at luminous.inc18@gmail.com.
9.Data security
We use physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your information, including:
Encryption in transit (TLS) for all network communication
Encryption at rest for data stored in Firebase
Access controls limiting who can view your data
Authentication required for account access
No security system is impenetrable. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10.Your rights
If you are in the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the following rights under the GDPR:
Right of access (Art. 15) — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification (Art. 16) — Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten", Art. 17) — Ask us to delete your data, subject to certain exceptions.
Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18) — Ask us to limit how we process your data.
Right to data portability (Art. 20) — Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
Right to object (Art. 21) — Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including profiling.
Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7(3)) — Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
Right to lodge a complaint (Art. 77) — Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. A list is available at the European Data Protection Board website.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at luminous.inc18@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
You may also stop all data collection by uninstalling the Application.
11.Children's privacy
The Application is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction — for example, 16 in some EU member states). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child without verified parental consent, we will delete that data promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at luminous.inc18@gmail.com.
12.Identifiers and similar technologies
The Application and its service providers use device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) and similar technologies to recognize your device, deliver advertising, prevent fraud, and measure service performance. You can reset or limit these identifiers via your Android device settings.
13.Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a revised "Effective date" at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide more prominent notice (for example, an in-App notification). We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
14.How you give consent
By using the Application, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. Where the law requires explicit consent (for example, for personalized advertising in the EU), you will be asked separately and may decline.
